how do you get to google rank #1? how do you get search engine ranking to increase in all search engines?

I want to get my website on the first page of google and maybe on other search engines as well. Anyone care to show me the way?

It can be done but it’ll take more than a simple answer, you need specific training.
If you’re asking because you have a brick and mortar business then check to see if Gil Corner is doing one of his free webinars sometime soon (http://www.gilscorner.com/webinar). It’s a complete training with actionable steps (and it doesn’t cost anything so that’s a plus).
For any other virtual business that’s online, you’ll need a different tutorial.
Basically you want to do keyword research to find out what are the search terms you want to get ranked for. You can use google’s keyword research tool and microsoft’s online commercial intent tool to find that out and make sure those are buying keywords. Just do a search for these tools and you’ll find them.
Then I suggest you download a free tool called traffic travis that will tell you what needs to be done to your website to have it be more search engine friendly. I believe the site’s at http://www.traffictravis.com

Once you’ve done all that, you need to constantly get backlinks to your site (links from another site to your own WITHOUT you linking back). Search for angela’s backlinks and you’ll find a very cheap way to do that.

There’s a lot more to it but those are the steps that make all the difference.

What is the best company to have submit a website to search engines?

I am looking for a good promotion marketing company that will hand submit my website to search engines and get good traffic and high position. There are so many out there that just advertise submitting to millions of search engines, but does anyone know of a place that does quality instead of quantity?

I would not waste my money on search engine submission websites. It’s easy enough to do that yourself. But I would recommend, if you’re trying to get high ranking in Google very quickly, to use the same seo service I did. I was very satisfied with the service. Here’s the review I read before I purchased:

How do make so that my web page appears in the first positions on the search engine?

Hello, I live in Guatemala and I manage a Spanish school training of l´ for foreigner, when I go on a search engine. ex Yahoo and that I write (school Spanish in Guatemala) I am in the hundredth position. How then I to make so that my Web page appears in the ten first, thank you for the ideas

Wow, I am surprised by the "bad" answers you see here. I thought search engine optimization process would have grown from what you see here. (Not trying to badmouth anyone here but some of the answers here would get you into hot waters)

Do not submit to search engines. It’s not needed. They will find you as soon as some other websites links to you.

Copying a competitor’s source code can raise a red flag with Google.

Ok … in order to be ranked higher in search engines you need to…

1. Write quality content (information) that’s going to be valuable to you reader. Make sure you use keywords within your copy.

2. DO NOT SPAM. Don’t try to fool search engines.

3. Submit your website to 2-4 good, quality directories. Yahoo Directory would be one of them $299 cost. Also "Best Of The Web" directory is a good choice.

4. Go read "Search engine optimization" forums. You’ll get a lot of help from there.

5. Try to get other RELEVANT websites to put a link to your site.

how do I increase my website’s search engine placement?

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who’s my end user – is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query
"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It’s ranked No. 1!
Again, Nazos.net’s high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google’s publication guidelines.

Good luck!

What is the best source for webmaster education and search engine optimization education that is affordable?

I have a new website at
http://www.specialhomeproducts.com
Check it out! I have many new home decor and office decor products, as well as great gift ideas for every special occasion….just need ideas as to how to market this without it costing an arm and a leg….am working on a limited budget. The idea is to MAKE money with it, NOT SPEND every dime I have just to get it marketed and ranked on the search engines. If anyone out there has resources for excellent internet marketing, that is reputable, NOT SCAMS, and is easy to understand for the beginner, let me know! I know amazon.com has several books you can get, such as "search engine optimization for dummies", or "keywords for dummies"…may have to go with that for now, to save on my expenses…already put TOO much into this project to give up on it….getting several hits a day to the site, but still no significant sales….any help I can get out there would be greatly appreciated. debs3

You can do it for free no problem but it will require a little time on your part.

First you need to get two books from the library:

Designing with Web Standards http://www.zeldman.com/dwws/

Don’t make me think http://www.sensible.com/buythebook.html

Reading and understanding these two books alone will put you ahead of 99.9% of webdesigners.

Then you need to read a free, reliable and up to date SEO tutorial. There are only two of these on the web that are considered worth reading.

That’s it! Read, learn and implement.

Good luck!

What kind of results should I expect?

How soon should I expect to see those results?

How can i sell my goods online too. Do i need to consult any internet marketing strategy consulting firm?

How can i sell my goods online too. Do i need to consult any internet marketing strategy consulting firm? Is that affordable?

I would suggest starting off with ebay.com first. It is relatively easy to set up and very cost effective. You can also start your own store own ebay and have customers shop your store on ebay, and already have a large market for your product. I would definetly recommend that you research ebay first and maybe give it a try first. At lot of people use ebay to start and continue their business online even when they maintain there own website due to the fact that so many people already shop there and its a new way to build clients.

Consider looking at a few of their tutorials.
