How do i get better Search Engine Results placement on keywords?

Build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:
http://www.avivadirectory.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=kahmer
http://www.kahmer.com
http://www.joeant.com
The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank
with Yahoo / Google / MSN.

Skip the first 20 results. Most hits are paid advertising. Particularly the first 5 on any page. Unbiased results no longer exist on the internet.

To the best Search Engine, you must install Mozilla Firefox. Download it from http://www.mozilla.com and your keywords in the search box

Many of these answers are partly right. Keyphrase research is critical. Don’t go after highly competitive keyphrases unless you are a pro. MORE TEXT, less images, no frames, no flash on main pages. Alt tags for images and MORE TEXT that matches page TITLES and meta tags. GOOGLE likes TEXT and growing Web sites. Keep adding text, syndicating text, using blogs and getting others to add text in forums, etc. Add news releases regularly over time. Don’t start with 1,000 pages then add nothing for six months. GET synergistic LINKS that use your keyphrases to link to you (PRWeb is great for this). USE your desired keyphrases everyplace possible. Links to you should always use the keyphrases you want in the hypertext. TEXT and LINKS!!
